Workouts for Busy Moms

As a mom myself, sometimes finding the time or even the motivation to workout while making sure to keep my little humans alive can be a little daunting.


So I have compiled quick easy and simple workout options to get you moving and reaching your goals.


 

5 Min do anywhere workout


Do 1 minute of each movement:

  • Jumping Jacks

  • High Knees

  • Jack Squats

  • Plank Jump Backs

  • Standing Oblique Twists



Quick 15 min workouts


I don't know about you, but sometimes I get bored of doing the same workout every day.


So if you are like me, you will Love these 5 different quick 15 minute workouts


Monday:

  • 30 Jumping Jacks

  • 30 Lunges

  • 20 Knee Push Ups

  • 20 Squats

  • 20 Glute Bridges

--Repeat 3x


Tuesday:

  • 30 Jumping Jacks

  • 30 Push Ups/Wall Push Ups

  • 20 Single Leg Dead Lifts

  • 20 Tri-Pod Knee Ins

  • 20 Side Lying Leg Lifts

--Repeat 3x


Wednesday:

  • 30 High Knees

  • 30 Calf Raises

  • 20 Donkey Kicks

  • 20 Burpees

  • 20 Tricep Dips

--Repeat 3x


Thursday:

  • 30 Skater Jumps

  • 30 Mountain Climbers

  • 20 Second Plank

  • 20 Bicep Curls – Grab bottles of water or canned veggies for this one!

  • 20 Plie Squats

--Repeat 3x


Friday:

  • 30 Walking Lunges

  • 30 Cross Jacks

  • 20 Second Wall Sit

  • 20 Plank Punches

  • 20 Butt Kicks

--Repeat 3x


20 1-minute Workouts


Sometimes the best I can do is do a few quick movements throughout the day so that I feel great because that's the whole point of working out is to feel better.


I found these amazing 1 minute workouts that can be done around the house without much preparation of changing into workout clothes because let's face it.

  • 1 minute jumping rope

  • 1 minute traditional plank

  • 1 minute side plank

  • 1 minute high knees

  • 1 minute wall sit

  • 1 minute jumping jacks

  • 1 minute leg raises

  • 1 minute sprint

  • 1 minute mountain climbers

  • 1 minute step up/step down to chair

  • 1 minute triceps dip on chair

  • 1 minute squats

  • 1 minute lunges right leg

  • 1 minute lunges left leg

  • 1 minute ab crunches

  • 1 minute push-ups

  • 1 minute burpees

  • 1 minute yoga bridge stretch

  • 1 minute yoga cobra pose

  • 1 minute yoga child’s pose


Quick 5 min workout to do before jumping in the shower


We all have to shower... well at least we all should shower, but sometimes it's a few days in between before we get a quiet moment to jump in.


I loved this idea to put in a quick workout while the shower is warming up.


Squat X 20

Tricep Dip X 20

Curtsey Lunge X 10 per side

Glute Kickback X 20 per side

Knee to Elbow X 10 per side
